Luxury Tent Camping
Tent camping the Farm is a luxury camping experience. Eleven magnificent tent sites are elevated on platforms and situated in private spots in the forest and creekside. You'll need to bring a sleeping bag and pillow. Standard tents are Eureka tents, measuring 12' x 12' and 7' in height, with comfy Swedish cots enough to fit one person and two dogs. The large tents are spacious Cabelas tents, 14' x 16' and 7' in height, with a super comfy full-size futon. Large tents fit two people and two dogs easily.
All tents have handy interior pockets for storage and ceiling loops to hang items and numerous zippered windows for good airflow. Every little comfort is added to make this camping experience easy. We provide a storage shelf for organization, small dustpan and broom to help you keep things tidy, and an outdoor clothesline and clothespins to hang wet items. Fresh water is delivered each day right to your door for you and your dog. Bathroom facilities with flushing toilets and outdoor vanities are located near the campsites to make it easy to handle personal matters in the great outdoors. And our shower facilities and additional toilet facilities are only moments away.
Tent rental fees:
Standard tent with cot: $55/night
Large tent with futon: $75/night
All tent acommodations include daily water service
Most campers say this is the cushiest camping they've ever done and non-campers find it surprisingly comfortable and convenient.
Cabin Comfort
We have 2 small cabins nestled high up on the Ridge, secluded amidst tall pine trees with a scenic vista below. The cabins are rustic (no electricity), but provide the essentials: furnished with two comfy cots, storage shelves, lanterns, rugs, chairs and a heater (for cooler weather). Each cabin measures about 12' x 15' and provides room for two people plus their dog or one person with one or more dogs. Because of the small cabins' location higher up on a ridge, you should feel physically comfortable heading up an incline on the established path to the cabins. If you are not up for walking uphill, have a look at the large cottages which sit below the ridge. On the ridge, the quiet and fresh air will make sleeping a joy for you and your dog. Some guests have described the views as those you would see in a treehouse! Guests will need to bring their own pillows, bed linens or sleeping bags and blankets. You will need a flashlight or lantern to make your way to/from your cabin or cottage at night. Also if you like to read at night, a personal reading light might be something extra to bring along. See Camper Info for what to bring.
Situated below the ridge, are 2 spacious large cottages. The cottages are rustic (no electricity), but provide you with the basics: each cabin has two large cots, a dresser, shelving, lanterns, rugs and chairs. The setting gives you quick access to nearby trails. The views from the windows are gorgeous! The cottages measure about 16' x 20' and can easily sleep two to three people with their dogs. They are perfect for friends attending Camp together or for a couple who want lots of space to unwind in between Camp activities. Guests will need to bring their own pillows, bed linens or sleeping bags and blankets. You will need a flashlight or lantern to make your way to/from your cabin or cottage at night. Also if you like to read at night, a personal reading light might be something extra to bring along. See Camper Info for what to bring.
The cabins and cottages are rustic as they do not have electricity and do not house their own bathroom. Shower and toilet facilities (see below) are located just 100 feet away. Cabins and cottages are equipped with heaters. There will be a $25 additional charge for heating in cooler weather. Please note that at night you will need a flashlight or lantern to make your way to/from your cabin or cottage. Fresh water is brought to your quarters for you and your dog. See Camper Info for what to bring.

RV Convenience
The Farm RVs are a real home away from home and wonderfully situated at the foot of a 30-acre meadow. With 5 standard RVs or 1 deluxe RV to choose from, visitors opt for RVs for access to electricity including heating/air conditioning. Though in efforts to conserve energy, we kindly asked guests to turn off heat/air when not in the RVs.
Our standard RVs have the feel of gently lived-in spaces (they are after all dog-friendly!). All have a separate cozy bedroom (with full, queen or king accommodations), the convenience of a private but small bathroom, storage cabinets, a kitchen equipped with stove, refrigerator and freezer, microwave, hot water pot and coffee maker. Kitchens are stocked with basic cookware, glasses, mugs, dishware and utensils. Living areas have a dog friendly sofa with throw blankets and pillows and also VCR/DVD and stereo. While RVs have their own small bathroom with toilet, sink and shower, RV guests prefer to use our separate full size bathroom and shower facilities (see Facilities below) just behind the RV row.
You will need to bring your own bed linens, pillows and blankets. See Camper Info for what to bring. We provide camp chairs for outside lounging under the retractable awnings.
Got your own RV? Load up the dogs and come on over! We have RV hookup sites for you to rent.

New deluxe RV! In addition to the standard amenities described above, the Chateau RV has a single push-out, creating a good sized living space with a very comfortable home-like interior. In perfect condition, the king-sized bed, pull out bed, large kitchen design and over-sized bathroom makes for RV luxury in the countryside.

Meals
Breakfast, lunch and dinner are served in our Barn, a remarkable 100 year old restored wooden barn with stunning high ceilings, natural wood throughout and space for up to 100 people! An architectural wonder, there is a separate eating area and serving area as well as our teaching area, complete with comfy couches for relaxing. Canine companions are welcome to join us during meals-- many are surprised and happy to see the Camp dogs co-habiting the barn peacefully as their owners enjoy their meals. Campers may also enjoy their meals outdoors at picnic tables with umbrellas, benches, Adirondack chairs and other seating spread throughout the main activity area.
Delicious catered food will include organic vegetarian dishes as well as humanely raised poultry and beef. At GHF, we honor dogs as well as all animals by offering food choices that do not encourage factory farming or cruel processing methods. Snacks and beverages are available throughout the day. If you're interested in a meal away from the camp, there are restaurants moments away in Morris or Oneonta and we'd be happy to suggest where to go.

Facilities
Showers and toilets Our shower and toilet facilities are private and conveniently located. The first location near the dining pavilion is convenient for campers staying in cabins and tents. There are 2 shower rooms, each with their own private entrances. Each room has a tiled shower stall with hot and cold water. There's plenty room to change and space for your belongings with wall hooks, shelves to store your toiletries and a small bench. The 2 toilet rooms each have a flushing toilet. On the outside are a pair of outdoor vanities with mirrors.
The other shower and toilet facility is located behind the main barn. There are 2 tiled shower rooms with their own private entrances and space to change. The 2 toilets rooms have their own doors. The 2 vanity rooms, with sink, mirror and electrical outlets also have their own entrances.
Doggie Kitchen Most campers enjoy preparing special meals for their dogs so you have access to the Doggie Kitchen. It's a full kitchen complete with a refrigerator with freezer, microwave, blender, sink and dishwasher, plus it's dog proof with a closing dutch door to prevent dog to dog food related problems! You are welcome to store any perishable items, such as beer and wine (humans only!) in the kitchen, too.
Lockers You can rent a locker for holding items during the day. Some people, especially tent campers, find that it is easier than returning to their tents. Plus they feel more prepared having those extra neccessities nearby without having to carry a lot around with them as they move from activity to activity.
Human Massage
A very special place exists at the farm called Willow Run, set alongside the Butternut Creek and a stunning large, draping willow tree. The sounds of the creek fill your ears as well as birds and soft winds as you enjoy a human massage. An incredible place to relax and feel renewed, a trained masseuse is booked just for you in this scenic spot. A changing room is at the site, too.
