2013 Fees

The Getaway is a unique off leash vacation experience tailored for dogs and dog lovers to enjoy the outdoors together in the peace and beauty of the countryside. Your lodging rental fees cover not just your accommodations, but also your enjoyment of the property that includes full use of the dining pavilion, pantry, bathroom & shower facilities, rest areas, agility field equipment and the Farm's trails, the winding creek, the pond, catch & release fishing in the pond, and endless acres of fields and meadows to exlpore. We provide the perfect backdrop for hiking, swimming, fishing, playing fetch, birdwatching, napping, and more, for you and your dog to indulge in. The longer you stay, the lower the per night rate on all lodging!

GHF adopters and Getaway returnees can get 10% off any booking. Let us know at the time of reservation that you have adopted a dog from us or if you've stayed here before to get your discount.

*September and October stays in cabins and cottages will incur a $25 fuel surcharge for heat.

To make your 2013 reservation, please complete the following steps:

1. Contact us to check for availability:
Please email us at vacation@glenhighlandfarm.com with your travel dates and lodging preferences to check for availability. Email is the best way to reach us. If you do not have access to email, you may call us at 607-263-5416 and leave a message with your name, tel number, travel dates and lodging preferences. We'll get back to you as soon as we can.

Please note that intact dogs must be discussed and approved prior to registration. Only one unneutered male dog allowed at any one given time. Female dogs in heat will not be allowed.

If your dog has aggression issues with other dogs or people, please contact us prior to registering. Aggression issues are not appropriate for the camp environment. You must discuss these issues with us PRIOR to registering since we may not be able to accept your dog at GHF based on these issues. Glen Highland Farm in no way assumes responsibility for your dog's behavior.  

2. After hearing from us, please complete and return the reservation request form:
Download the Getaway 2013 reservation form. Please fill in the info completely and email back to us as an attachment to: vacation@glenhighlandfarm.com OR you can print out the request form, write in the info and mail to: Glen Highland Farm, 217 Pegg Rd., Morris, NY 13808.

3. Make your deposit payment or pay your balance:
You can process your payment on-line through PayPal using your PayPal account or any credit card. Please be sure to fill in the 2 text fields below, before hitting the "Pay Now" button.

After our office has recieved your reservation form and payment deposit, an official confirmation letter with details of your reservation will be emailed to you.

4. Send in proof of rabies vaccination or titer:
Proof of rabies vaccination or titer is required for each dog coming to visit. Please mail records ahead of your visit to: Glen Highland Farm, 217 Pegg Road, Morris, NY 13808. You can also fax records to 607-263-5325 or email to: vacation@glenhighlandfarm.com

Check-in and Check-out Times

Check-ins are at 3:00pm. We understand that you might encounter traffic problems or get lost, so please give us a courtesy call if you are running late. We pride ourselves on providing individualized attention to our campers, therefore we prefer all campers to check in on time so that one of the founders of Glen Highland Farm may give you a tour of the facility and get you settled in by 6pm. We cannot accept arrivals after 6 pm. If you are late and do not let us know, there will not be anyone to assist you upon your arrival and you will have to use other local accommodations and check-in the following morning.

Check-out is 11am. We ask that you vacate from your accommodations by 11am so that we may prepare for our next guests. Feel free to enjoy the rest of the property and even prepare a lunch in the pavilion before hitting the road!

Payment, Refund and Cancellation Policy

For reservations made 30 days or more in advance: Payment of 50% is due at the time of booking. The remaining balance is due 30 days prior to your check-in date. Once booked, a deposit in the amount equivalent to one night's stay will not be refundable in the event of any cancellation. There are no refunds issued for cancellations occurring within 30 days of the planned check-in date. No refunds due to inclement weather.
